You Might Think a Cars Reunion Is a Good Idea...I Don't

It seems as though legendary 70s and 80s band The Cars have ignored my request that they stay retired. The band is (mostly) back, and are on the verge of releasing their first new album in 24 years, Move Like This. The new record will be released in May.

All of the original members of The Cars are returning, except for bassist/vocalist Benjamin Orr who died in 2000 from cancer. No word on his replacement, nor on who would sing his songs live.

The band released an abbreviated clip of the first single, "Sad Song":


Personally, I think this will damage the Cars legacy. But the band is likely to rake it in this Summer doing the nostalgia circuit.
