New Sonic Youth -- June 13

The College Music Journal (CMJ) is reporting that the new Sonic Youth album will be called Rather Ripped, and is set to be released June 13 on Geffen Records. Sonic Youth has been with Geffen since 1990 when they shocked the indie music world by signing with a major label.

Sonic Youth's last album, Sonic Nurse, is among their best, so this bodes well for the new release.
