Paul Westerberg (my hero) and band will appear tonight on CBS' Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He will be playing "As Far As I Know." According to Paul's website, the show was taped last week, and the audience gave the band a standing ovation.
In other Westerberg/Replacements news...the band's first four albums (originally released by Twin/Tone Records) will be re-issued this year with bonus tracks by Rykodisc. The band's last four albums (originally released by Sire/Reprise) will be re-issued by Rhino. Shout! Factory will be releasing an anthology of Paul's solo material sometime this year. Paul's collaboration with former bandmate Tommy Stinson (now of Guns N Roses) will be featured on the soundtrack to the next Cameron Crowe movie. A boxed set featuring songs from the entire Replacements catalog is set to be released in 2006.
