Podcast #7 Available Now

My voice is shot as I have been sick for the last few days. So this week's podcast is sort of like one side of a mixtape. The tunes were all selected by my Windows Media Player. Yes, this is a 45 minute slice in the life of my computer. It's actually much more interesting than that sounds...and a lot louder!

Listen to the show here or subscribe via iTunes with the button at top right of the page.

Podcast #6 Available

Podcast #6 is dedicated to Detroit rockers The Fags. In case you don't already know, The Fags are a power-pop/hard rock band in the grand tradition of Cheap Trick. Their songs are insanely catchy, feature huge, classic rock power chords, and showcase the band's subversive humor. After listening to this podcast if you don't become a fan, you just don't like rock. It's as simple as that. Enjoy!!

Starlite Desperation TONIGHT at Saddle Creek Bar

If you live in the Omaha area, get your ass to the Saddle Creek Bar (1410 N. Saddle Creek Rd) to see psychadelic garage rockers The Starlite Desperation. I saw these guys twice at the end of 2004, and was blown away. Then they sort of disappeared. But, thankfully, they have returned. Looks like they have a new line-up considering that two years ago there was not a woman in the band. Tickets are $7 at the door.

Opening the show is a great Omaha band called Virgasound. Get there early enough to see them if you haven't already.

For Those That Doubt The Awesomeness of Cheap Trick

Cheap Trick 1981 appearance on SNL. Features Pete Comita on bass who was in the band for like six months or something. Robin Zander still gets my vote for best voice in rock.
